There’s something about the beach in winter that clears out the cobwebs and invigorates you.

It certainly wasn’t warm for Gemma and Josh’s engagement shoot but they were up for the challenge, and look at these photos – you’d never know how cold it was!

I didn’t even notice the temperature until I got back in the car and realised I was freezing. The car heater felt like it was burning my feet as I defrosted. Lucky me – my hubby had lit a beautiful fire and I warmed up beside it with a hot coffee when I got home.

Gemma and Josh took the chance to update their family portraits while we were there, and Gracie and Ella were just fabulous. Gracie is a wonderful wee helper and kept an eye on Ella – who was just so keen to explore! – while we did some couple photos. I can’t wait to see these two wee ladies dressed up at the wedding.

The celebrations are planned for the 2020 festive season and I’m so excited to be there to capture the party!
