Shannon and Michael are two of the loveliest, kindest people that I’ve met and because of that I looked forward to their wedding for months. They have huge hearts and a respect for each other that I just adore.
These two chose Waikoikoi Church for their ceremony and the Town & Country Club in Gore for their reception. They had a subtle French theme to the wedding which was so cute! French sentences in their order of service, French place names on tables, lovely! We went to Mandeville, Dolomore Park, and a few other gorgeous gardens inbetween for their wedding photos while it threatened to rain on us.
Funny story: I usually try to call in at the reception venue during the morning to take photos before guests arrive. The Town & Country Club isn’t a venue I’m familiar with and when I arrived it was very busy. The carpark was full and there seemed to be a steady stream of people walking into the building so I followed them in. As it turned out there was a funeral on and I was at the wrong end of the building so I had to excuse myself and fight the traffic flow to get back out the door!
Shannon designed her dress and had it made. She chose sleeves as a tribute to her mother and grandmother who both had sleeves on their wedding days. That’s just a little glimpse of how thoughtful she is!
