I knew Lauren and Andy’s wedding would be magnificent as soon as I met them. Some people just give off perfect vibes, ya know what I mean?

When February 11 rolled around, I hopped in my car and drove to see Shani at Ambrosia Designer Florist. I had the very important job of transporting the bouquets out to the Catlins and I’ve never driven so carefully!

I absolutely underestimated:

1. How incredible the flowers would be
2. How many flowers there would be
3. How good my car would smell
4. How much space flowers take up

My car was packed full of them! Buckets of loose roses! They were so pretty I had to sit and look for a while so I wouldn’t get distracted as I drove.

I picked up a coffee and headed out of town. The weather in town wasn’t flash but the closer I got to River Ridge Retreat, the better it got.

The lads were having a chilled morning clay bird shooting while the girls were getting ready. Lauren is a very talented hairdresser and makeup artist and did her own makeup – so cool!

After a gorgeous ceremony we headed out in a van for bridal party photos. I’ve gotta say, this team – man, they went hard and it was awesome.

There were plenty of drinks, some singing, a blowtorch and smoke bombs.

Lauren and Andy, thanks so much for having me along to capture your special day. I had a blast and loved every minute.
