Wedding Bouquets of Southland Brides

I’m a sucker for a gorgeous bouquet. When Wayne and I got married last year I was pretty fresh onto the wedding scene. I didn’t realise how much I loved bouquets or how unique and stunning they could be. What a rookie! Because of that, I didn’t hire the best florist. When my bouquets turned up on the morning of our wedding they were nice, but completely different to what I had ordered. My Mum wasn’t happy and the poor florist definitely got an earful. Of course there was nothing that could be done so I just picked up the bunch and headed off down the aisle.

It wasn’t the end of the world but now when I look back, what was I thinking? Why didn’t I hire an amazing florist? Florals can be so incredible! Now when I head around to see a bride on her wedding morning the flowers are one thing I really look forward to seeing. So without further waffling, here’s the floral design from my 2014-15 season of weddings, and the name of each designer. If you see something you like, get in touch with that florist!

Megan and Thomas’ flowers were designed by the talented Shani from Ambrosia Designer Florist. Their wedding was woodland themed and you can see their blog post by clicking here.

Shannon and Michael’s Gore wedding was a stunner. They chose Flowers by Design to do their florals. You can see some more of their wedding by clicking here.

The next wedding on my calendar was Kym and Ben’s incredibly fun day at Hawthorn Gardens. Kym is really creative and her Mum made her florals for her, out of crepe paper! So clever!

Just before Christmas was Amy and Daniel’s wedding day. You definitely want to see some more of their photos so check them out by clicking here! They chose Windsor Florist to create these gorgeous bouquets.

January arrived and on the hottest day of the summer Freya and Bryce were married at a family farm just out of Invercargill. You can see their blog post by clicking here. Their florals were designed by Stems on St Andrew. I love how vibrant these bouquets are!

Rebekah & Bryce’s stunning Queenstown wedding was another hot day. Rebekah got her bouquets made by Windsor Florist in Invercargill and transported them up to Queenstown for their wedding. I loooove the dusky blush pink colour of these roses. So stunning! Their blog post can be seen by clicking here!

Bailey & Chris also chose Windsor Florist for their bouquets and they were stunning! And Bailey’s dress was amazing. And Chris looked pretty fab too. I haven’t blogged their wedding yet, but it’ll come soon!

Elyce and Marcus’ wedding day was so much fun! We started with a backyard picnic and it just kept getting more awesome all day long. You can see more of their photos by clicking here. Rachel Reed created these beautiful bunches.

Moving into autumn the days were cooler (thank goodness! It’s hot running around with a camera all day!) Tania and Jeff were married in the stunning Colac Bay and we headed to Cosy Nook to take their wedding photos. Their lovely flowers were by Geva Harper who incorporated some memories of Tania’s mum into the design.

And lucky last for this blog post is the lovely Kjersti and Scott. These two got married at Hawthorn Gardens and chose Windsor Florist as their florist. Somehow (I have no idea how) they managed to create blue roses!
